A Brief Chat With Ryan Warrenburg

Ryan Warrenburg , 23, of ZAP Fitness in Blowing Rock, North Carolina won the men’s 10k race at the 2007 USATF National Club Cross Country Championships in West Chester, Ohio in 31:46.9 (Patrick Gildea of Tennessee was second in 31:57.3; Jon Pierce of ZAP was third in 32:00.1). ZAP won theteam’s team title. Warrenburg is from Franklin, Indiana and attended Arizona State University. He recently set his 8k road best of 22:56 at the Ntelos 8K in Richmond. A former Pac-10 runnerup in the 3000-meter steeplechase, he’s run 8:3901 for the steeple, 3:42.9 for 1500 meters, and 13:43.26 in the 5000. He'll be at the Emerald Nuts Midnight Run on New Year's Eve in New York City.
